About Whitney
Whitney Lavender is a determined double above-knee amputee, motivational speaker, author, advocate, podcast host, and Ms. Wheelchair Tennessee 2026.
She is the author of the children’s book Whit & Wheels: A Journey of Courage, a heartwarming story inspired by her own journey of grit and triumph. After losing both legs to CRPS, Whitney turned her challenges into a message of hope and resilience.
As Ms. Wheelchair Tennessee 2026, her platform is Roll Without Limits: Adaptive Martial Arts for All. She is passionate about making martial arts accessible to everyone — regardless of ability — while encouraging people to step outside their comfort zones and discover what they’re truly capable of.
Whitney also hosts the raw and uplifting podcast Whit’s Grit, where she shares real conversations about overcoming adversity and rising stronger.
She believes that everything in life is OVERCOMABLE. Through her book, podcast, speaking, and advocacy, Whitney shows that our differences make us uniquely beautiful — and that every one of us can be the hero in our own story.
